Wish List

Goal: Chanel flap bag

sacre bleu

DineLA started.

We dined at Blue on Blue at the Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills. Since there were only three choices for each course, me and my bestie Tracy decided to each get something different so we can taste everything they have to offer. I'm not sure about their regular menu, but their restaurant week preset menu did not impress me.

For appetizers, I ordered the spinach salad while Tracy ordered the scallops. They were both up to par. The main entree was a disappointment. I ordered the crunch jidori (another word for chicken), and tracy had the salmon. Jidori was very dry and the salmon was flavorless and had that bad fishy taste to it. For dessert I had the berry tres leche and trac ordered the chocolate cake. They were both up to par.

It was a disappointment since I thought restaurant week was to lure (with their good stuff) people into trying the best food of their lives so they will come back after restaurant week and pay full price.

Then we headed over to the Laugh Factory on Sunset to see Frazer Smith, Aries Spears, Harland Williams, and Dane Cook.

I have to say the sexual related jokes/bits are the funniest, but do they really have to do the motion of jerking off? Especially when a demonstration is not needed for the story?

I am proud of myself. I had a few yawn moments throughout the night, but I stuck through it. Enjoyed a nice poolside dinner with a great bunch of girls and one of their boyfriends, then laughed my ass off at the comedy club. All in all, it was a very successful Friday nigh.

the weekend is here

The same thing always happens to me on Fridays. I have so much energy during the day at work. I get excited and plan to execute a fabulous Friday night, and come then late afternoon rolls around...exhaustion hits me.

Is Vitamin C an energy boost? I'm enjoying a wonderful grapefruit and it's waking me up. or is it the eating part that's waking me up?

Should I take a nap before going out tonight? I only have a short window before I have to get ready for dinner.

Carla Bruni

I came across this song that i absolutely adore.

English Translation:
I’m told that our lives aren’t worth much,
They pass like an instant, like wilting roses.
I’m told that time slipping by is a bastard
Making its coat of our sorrows.
Yet someone told me…

That you still loved me
Someone told me…
That you still loved me.
Well ? Could that be possible?

I’m told that fate makes fun of us,
That it gives us nothing and promises everything,
When happiness seems to be within our reach,
We reach out and find ourselves like fools.
Yet someone told me…

That you still loved me
Someone told me…
That you still loved me.
Well ? Could that be possible?

Well ? Could that be possible?

So who said that you still loved me?
I don’t remember any more, it was late at night,
I can still hear the voice, but I can no longer see the face,
“He loves you, it’s secret, don’t tell him I told you.”
You see, someone told me

That you still loved me
Did someone really tell me?
That you still loved me
Well, could that be possible?

I’m told that our lives aren’t worth much,
Passing in an instant, like wilting roses,
I’m told that time slipping by is a bastard,
Making its coat of our sadnesses.

That you still loved me
Someone told me…
That you still loved me.
Well ? Could that be possible?

one, two, three, four

there's only 1 thing, 2 do, 3 words, 4 you

v. day

Valentine's day falls not only on a Saturday this year, but also a three day weekend. While some have plans to be whisked away to some romantic hot spot... lets not forget the sweet simple things...

It should just be...

with a touch of...

over a little...

and lots of...

So I got a pretty big birthday present that is suppose to cover my birthday and valentine's day gifts... which means no big surprise hoopla this year. It will be nice and romantic just being at home with the boyfriend. Maybe I should attempt to cook him dinner. (Although take out sounds pretty good too).

ESFPs radiate attractive warmth and optimism. Smooth, witty, charming, clever, voluble, and open to the environment-this describes ESFPs who, like ESTPs, represent about 13 percent of the population. They are great fun to be with and are the most generous of all the types. Performer would be the word which best describes an ESFP.

ESFPs will avoid being alone and seek the company of others whenever possible. ESFPs easily find company, for others are usually highly entertained by the presence of an ESFP. ESFPs love excitement and create it wherever they are. Their joy of living is contagious and generally they wear happy faces. Often outstanding conversationalists, their flowing banter is amusing in its wit. ESFPs have an air of sophistication and are likely to be dressed in the latest fashion, displaying an enjoyment of all good things of life: dress, food, physical comfort, and happy times. ESFPs create a mood of "eat, drink, and be marry" wherever they go, and around them life can have a continual party-like atmosphere of gaiety.

How generic would it be to have an online description of 13% of the population to describe myself.

So here it is in a nutshell.
I was born and raised in Southern California, currently residing in LA during the weekdays and commuting back to my suburban bubble on the weekends. I am trying to find my place in this adult working world of ours and the current economy is not making it easy. I know I want to do something with either movies, fashion or both.
I love my family and friends. I want to explore new thing, meet new people, and learn through experience, in hopes of stripping my sheltered suburban life in exchange for the city life my heart craves.
I am drawn to fun and and despite my desire for simple happiness, drama and i tend to stay close to one another. If it's been away for a while, it will creep up on me and say hello.
I am easily entertained. My biggest loves are movies and fashion. I also love crafting stuff for my friends.

Intro

I've been talking about having a public blog for sometime now. I always start one, and within a couple of post, I switch it to private mode. For my New Year's resolution, I was going to try to be more communicative and not hide things. So here it is... My first attempt at an uncensored sassy ass blog.
